A shop at last...........

Well at long last things have started coming together and we have made a start on the shop. It doesn't look much at the moment but when its finished its going to look great. I'm just desperate now to get everything finished and up and running!

Winter weekend

Well there's nothing else to do on a cold weekend except stitch,apart from the ironing,washing dusting...........but all that can wait. I've made a few Xmas gifts for people this year and I thought you might like to see one in progress. This is a wall hanging that I'm making for my mums new kitchen, shes just bought a lovely cream dresser and the kitchen has a modern country feel to it. So I thought the Cup Cake design with the floral fabric would look great together. Hope she likes it after all the time spent hand stitching!

Latest news

Well by now I was expecting to show you some photos of my shop being built but as you can see the weather has put a stop to that!

I have however still been busy organising next years classes and as soon as I have finalised the Program I will post it on the Website. As well as organised classes there will be an informal hand sewing group meeting once or twice a month and maybe a knitting group .There would be a minimal charge for these groups, just enough to keep you in tea and biscuits!

Patches Corner 1st Post

 My shop will be opening January 2011 at Teawig Farm by Beauly with classes and workshops starting in February.Follow my progress here from the first load of cement being poured to the first bolt of fabric to go on the shelf. I'm really excited to meet lots of  new friends who like me, have a passion for Textiles.

So if you are interested in Patchwork, Quilting, Embroidery, Felting, Dying, Knitting, Crochet, Beading, Mixed Media or Dressmaking let me know and I will arrange a class according to demand.
